Carl Bamelis

Carl Bamelis holds a graduate law degree from the University of Leuven (1992) and postgraduate degrees in tax and accounting law from the University of Ghent (1993) and in tax matters (Fiscale Hogeschool - Brussels - 1993).

He joined Coopers & Lybrand which merged into PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he held the position of Tax Manager. In 1999, Carl went in-house and become Head of Risk, Tax & Legal of British American Tobacco in Belgium. Subsequently, he became Tax Counsel of the Belgian stocklisted Omega Pharma in 2004, a position which he holds until today. Carl is member of the IAB, the Belgian Institute of chartered Accountants and Tax Advisors.

Carl advises the clients of LCS advocaten as Of Counsel on various issues of corporate and personal income tax, including domestic and international restructuring and optimisation, as well as accounting matters.

Carl is fluent in English, Dutch and French.
